We formed Soul Supreme in London, in the summer of 2018, and we’ve loved bringing the energy and passion of soul and Motown to every event. We feel like family, and we love bringing that energetic atmosphere to every event, going the extra mile to make each performance feel effortless, personal and unforgettable.
Here’s a little Q&A to help you get to know us better – if you have any other questions, we’d be happy to answer them!
We all come from different musical backgrounds, but share a common love: soul and Motown music! The songs are timeless, full of energy, and perfect for a party. Also, it’s such an influential genre, in both past and present music, while still leaving enough room to interpret and make your own on stage. There’s so much energy and passion in soul Music – we can’t help but feel great when we play these iconic tracks live. They leave you feeling alive and put you in the best mood to have a great time!
At our core, we’re a soul band playing iconic, classic tracks and modern hits. We love to infuse our repertoire with the essence and fundamentals of soul music and associated music styles, meaning that all the music we play is full of fun, energy, and dexterity, while still being melodically pleasing and easy to enjoy.
Our ethos is that everyone in the room is having the best time when we’re on stage! We’re a high-energy party band at heart, so we always want to keep you moving on the dance floor with passionate and stirring performances – but we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and love to have fun all together. You can expect laughter, celebration, dancing – and maybe a few tears of absolute joy!
Absolutely! We’re not just here to perform at your event – we’re here to be part of it. We love getting involved, bringing the energy, and making sure the whole room feels alive. We’re also equipped with wireless microphones, meaning that we can bring the music right to the heart of the party: the dance floor!
There are so many! To name just a few – we love the energy of artists from James Brown to Bruno Mars, the smoothness of groups like The Temptations and The Supremes, the vocal excellence of singers like Aretha Franklin and Michael Jackson, and the iconic tracks of the greats like Whitney Houston to Stevie Wonder. Unsurprisingly, you’ll be able to spot them all in our repertoire!
We draw inspiration from all of these artists – and so many more – whose incredible songs have made soul and Motown music the trailblazing, feel-good genre it’s always been (and still is today!).
We’re a tight-knit collective of passionate musicians who live for live performance and have spent years honing our skills. You’ll see it – and feel it – when we’re on stage. Our energy is exciting and exhilarating, our shows are full of feel-good moments, and we genuinely love what we do.
We’re proud to be chosen for your event, and we always go the extra mile to make it unforgettable. We’re a really fun band to have play – real, relatable people who love lifting and elevating our clients’ events.
We really appreciate the fact that our clients have chosen us out of all the amazing bands out there to be a highlight for their special days and events. We love that as the band, we get to play a part in making events fun and memorable, and that we can leave people feeling good and with positive memories that last for many years to come. We get to meet so many different people from all walks of life, and unite them with our love of performing live soul music!

We’ve also popped up on shows like This Morning (ITV) and Woman’s Hour (Radio 4). It’s great fun to be part of these features, and to share our love of soul and Motown music with audiences everywhere.
